[HOW TO MEASURE PET EAR TEMPERATURE]

1. Make sure the thermometer is clean and free of any debris or residue. You can use alcohol to clean the thermometer before and after use.

2. Hold your dog’s head still and gently lift the ear flap to expose the ear canal.

3. Turn on the thermometer, gently insert the thermometer probe into the ear canal and hold it there until you hear a beep or the thermometer indicates that it has finished measuring the temperature.

4. Remove the thermometer from the ear canal and read the temperature display.

5. Record the temperature and compare it to the normal range for your dog’s breed and size. A dog’s normal temperature range is typically between 99.5°F and 102.5°F (37.5°C and 39.2°C).

If your dog’s ear temperature is outside of the normal range, consult with your veterinarian for further advice and treatment. Remember to always use a thermometer specifically designed for pets, as using a human thermometer may not provide accurate results and could be potentially harmful to your dog.
